On behalf of Western Baptist Hospital, the following training sessions are available:

USEC will be on WBH campus August 9th from 1300 – 1500 for training. The invitation for attending has been extended to the surrounding Fire Departments. If you would like further information on this training or would like to attend, you can email Phillip Adams at padams3@BHSI.com.
There is also an Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS) Provider Course on August 13, 2010. This is an eight-hour course for physicians, nurses, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, therapists, and paramedics.

The next training session, EMT Burn Life Support Course, will be held on August 14, 2010 at WBH, Meeting Rooms A & B from 8:00 am – 10:00 am. This course is offered to all EMT’s and Firefighter/EMT’s and provides guidelines in the assessment and management of the burn patient until advance care arrives.

There will be a ICS 400 class - Advanced ICS, Command and General Staff-Complex Incidents – held on July 24 – 25, 2010 at Calvert City Hall, 1315 5th Ave., Calvert City, KY 42029.
This Advanced Incident Command System, Command and General Staff-Complex Incidents course provides training on and resources for personnel who require advanced application of the ICS. This course expands upon information covered in ICS 100 through ICS 300 courses.
The Target audience for this class is Law Enforcement, Emergency Medical Services, Emergency Management Agency, Fire Service, hazardous materials (HAZMAT), Public Works, Government Administrative, Public Safety Communications, Health Care, and Public Health.
Prerequisites for the ICS 400 is designed for emergency responders who have successfully completed the ICS-100, ICS-200, ICS-300, IS-700 or IS-700.a, and IS-800 courses offered by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) or the Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP). Command or General Staff experience is also required.
